This research aims to design and create a prefabricated insole for elderly foot
health by using natural rubber as raw materials. In this research, the formulation of
natural rubber blends and design of footwear is created. The prefabricated insole
was produced by compression molding process. This research has been found to
require a different production of rubber formulations to achieve good pressure
distribution, it reduces the pressure of both the soles while walking and moving. Both
parts of the rubber formulation must have different vulcanite hardness. In the
production of the prefabricated insole for elderly foot health in this research, it uses
domestically produced raw materials and uses natural rubber, a major agricultural
product in the country. The cost of production used in the production of the insole
in this research is approximately 40 Baht per pair of insoles (the price changes
according to the price of raw materials at the time of production). In terms of
designing the insole, It should be distributed in good pressure, which is not too much
pressure accumulated in any area. The insole should be designed to have a curved
section that supports the arch, where the elderly is more likely to lose fat in such a
way. This results in more pain when standing or walking for a long time. The design
of the shoe plate to have a curved section that supports the arch allows to spread
pressure while standing or moving well and helps the wearer be more comfortable.
